Engraving Process FAQ
WHERE DO I EVEN START? The engraving form is located at the bottom of the page by the add to cart button. You may have additional questions but this will get the ball rolling and all questions will be answered.
Most of the time our engraving form will work adequately for engraving names, dates, or other words without much question. We still may want to contact you to confirm something, so it is important to leave good contact information.
Can I use my own image? If you have a special engrave in mind and you already have a really good image, you can upload that and give us any details in the form below the upload (please read information below about copyright and infringement before uploading anything).
How does the engraving process work? After the initial request is made, we check to see what questions we might have or you might have. Sometimes we may need to suggest changes for one reason or another and will always contact you before we start designing anything. We make absolutely certain the changes are okay with you before we start on a design. Occasionally there may be some phone tag due to timezones but we will try to work around that as best we can.
After we have worked out all the details of your engrave with you, we will design a proof, to give you a visual of what your engrave will look like. It will be a simple, one dimensional graphic in the shape of the product you have chosen with actual fonts and/or graphics in the specific location. At this point, you would need to approve it or ask for something to be changed. Once you have given us your final approval of the proof, we will start working on your actual engraving within 24 hours.
I'm worried there might be something I don't like about it. Even if your engrave is the most basic and fits into every avenue of our engraving form without any question, we will send a proof. Communication is key to a happy outcome. We leave nothing to chance and don't start engraving until we have all the details ironed out.
How long will the engraving process take? Generally the process to confirm your final design is about 3 days, giver or take a day, depending on the depth & design of the project. Most projects are simple and don't take long. After final design is approved. Engraving will happen within 24 hours.
Things we cant engrave.
Images that belong to someone else. (for example pro or college football leagues or any other logo). Other people's artwork or images. Things you have taken from the internet that do not specifically say royalty free. If it doesn't say that, we cant do it. Thanks ahead of time for not asking us to. If you want to send me an image of an idea and ask me to make something similar, I can most likely do that without infringing on anyone else's work.
I cannot engrave on anything that isn't flat or almost flat.
We only engrave products you have purchased from us.
